Roughly three weeks after parting ways with USF, Wharton QB Chase Litton has received an offer from Toledo.
Litton's mother told the Times her son received the offer at practice Thursday. His other offers include LSU, FAU, FIU, Marshall, Western Kentucky, Georgia State and UMass.
A 2,700-yard passer in 2012, Litton (6-foot-5, 203 pounds) publicly de-committed from USF in late July, and later told the Times he felt like Bulls coaches were using him primarily to lure other recruits.
Online reports indicated a possible falling-out between player and school before that.
Arguably Hillsborough County's top QB prospect from the Class of '14, Litton helped lead Team Tampa to the IMG 7-on-7 National Championship tournament in June. He had five games of at least 250 passing yards in '12, including 404 in a playoff loss to Orlando Dr. Phillips.
Toledo's '13 roster features three bay area players: receivers Bernard Reedy (Lakewood) and Rodney Adams (Lakewood) and DE Allen Covington (Armwood).
