TAMPA — Tampa Bay Tech certainly appears ready for next week’s season opener, as the Titans dominated Blake 56-0 in Friday night’s preseason game.
The Titan passing game was clicking on all cylinders.
Junior quarterback Deon Cain threw five touchdown passes to five different receivers.
Senior athlete Tajee Fullwood scored a pair of TDs — one rushing and another through the air.
The Tampa Bay Tech defense was equally as strong.
Fullwood also had an interception and sophomore defensive back Isaiah Brown returned a Blake fumble for a score.
Although it’s just the preseason, Tampa bay Tech coach Jayson Roberts was encouraged by his team’s effort on both sides of the ball.
“The passing game was an area we really felt we would be much improved in this year,” Roberts said. “We feel good about our rushing attack, but it’s going to big for us to be able to balance that with the passing game.”
Tech opens the regular season at home against Newsome. Blake will host Brandon.
