Basketball super 7
Records through Tuesday

Boys
1. Berkeley Prep (15-1):
The Bucs are no longer perfect, but they followed up their lone loss of the year with a six-point win over Tampa Catholic.
2. Tampa Prep (12-2): Juwan Durham and the Terps will make a case for the top spot if they can top Berkeley on Saturday.
3. Wharton (12-2): The Wildcats’ eight-game win streak put them at No. 3 in Class 8A in the latest state rankings.
4. Tampa Catholic (12-6): The Crusaders have three players — Chivarsky Corbett, Thomas Dziagwa and Sam Harris — averaging at least 16 points per game.
5. East Bay (12-2): The Indians return from a long layoff tonight with a key Class 7A, District 7 showdown with Brandon.
6. Lennard (12-3): Senior Caelen Watts is filling up a box score, with 18 points and three assists, rebounds and steals per game.
7. Plant (13-5): The Panthers are getting hot, with recent wins over Jefferson and Newsome.
In the conversation: Strawberry Crest (12-4), Jefferson (14-5)

Girls
1. Strawberry Crest (15-2):
Chargers hold onto their top spot with a big win against Steinbrenner on Tuesday, one of the best teams around.
2. Steinbrenner (19-3): Steinbrenner has lost a few since its 12-game win streak to start the season, but the defensive-minded Warriors are still one of the teams to beat.
3. Seffner Christian (12-3): Seffner Christian lost a couple games in tournament play at the end of December, but bounced right back with a 38-point win to start the new year.
4. Freedom (14-3): Patriots might be young, but wins against Armwood, Tampa Bay Tech and Riverview have made Freedom a team to watch. Next up: big games against Sickles and Steinbrenner.
5. Tampa Bay Tech (16-3): Titans haven’t lost since falling to Strawberry Crest on Dec. 16, and it appears back-to-back games against Jefferson and Sickles are the only roadblocks on their way to finishing the season on that win streak.
6. Sickles (15-4): Gryphons won their division in the Queen of Palms Tournament and are 6-1 since Dec. 27.
7. Armwood (15-4): Hawks beat a solid Jefferson squad twice in December, but recently suffered a big loss to Steinbrenner and another in a nail biter against Sickles.
In the conversation: Riverview (10-4), Jefferson (13-5), Holy Names (13-6), Hillsborough (12-8)
