Records through Tuesday

Girls
1. Palm Harbor University (16-2):
Hurricanes picked up their first two losses over the break after they were elevated to the top bracket of the Queen of Palms tournament in Fort Myers. They bounced back with a win over Sarasota Riverview on Tuesday and have a district game against St. Petersburg on Thursday.
2. St. Petersburg (16-4): Green Devils lost their first two games at Queen of Palms in the same bracket as PHU; returned with a convincing win against Manatee.
3. Clearwater (18-1): Tornadoes’ first loss came at the Jaguar Holiday Tournament against host Holy Names. Their biggest test of the season awaits Friday against PHU.
4. Calvary Christian (14-2): Warriors’ only lost to Steinbrenner by two points in the Indian Rocks Holiday shootout. They are poised to make a long run in the playoffs.
5. Northeast (16-5): Vikings have won five straight after losing to Clearwater by just four points.
6. Dixie Hollins (10-5): Rebels beat Mitchell on Tuesday and clinched the 6A-10 regular-season championship. Meagan Thomas remains one of the top scorers in the county, averaging 25.4 points per game.
7. Countryside (10-7): Cougars ran into a tough bracket at Queen of Palms and lost to Dixie Hollins in the first game after the break. They have Seminole and Largo this week, and hope to get back to winning.

Boys
1. St. Petersburg (12-1):
Despite a one-point loss to Wharton in the Northeast tournament championship, the Green Devils have been impressive with wins against state-ranked Tallahassee Leon and Rickards last month.
2. Largo (13-1): Next week, the Packers will be tested three straight days with games against East Lake, district rival Mitchell and state-ranked Wharton.
3. Gibbs (12-2): Gladiators’ only losses are to out-of-county opponents (Daytona Beach Father Lopez, Faith Baptist) and they have the inside track on the top seed in 5A-10 after beating Lakewood for the second time this season.
4. Seminole (13-2): During the winter break, the Warhawks went 1-1. Their only loss to a county opponent was by four points to St. Petersburg the first week of the season.
5. Lakewood (6-6): Battle-tested Spartans have lost twice to Gibbs by a combined seven points in their regular-season series.
6. Shorecrest (12-3): Chargers are 6-0 in 3A-9 with their closest game a 14-point win over Indian Rocks Christian.
7. Tarpon Springs (17-2): Spongers’ only losses this season have come against Largo and Seminole.
