Pasco coach Tom McHugh has said that Joey Ivie’s younger brother, Andrew, has the chance to be as good as the current Florida Gator.
Apparently Will Muschamp agrees.
The Gators head coach offered Andrew Ivie a scholarship Monday morning, McHugh said. UF is the younger Ivie’s second offer, after USF.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound junior lineman was No. 23 on the Tampa Bay Times’ early list of the area’s top prospects for the class of 2015. Andrew Ivie ranked fifth on the Pirates with 62 tackles and two sacks last fall.
His older brother, a former Pasco standout, played three games at defensive lineman for the Gators as a freshman.
