A whirlwind recruiting process finally ended this week when Palm Harbor University quarterback Tyler Kaminski signed his letter of intent to play for Concord, a Division II school in Athens, W. Va.
Concord offered two weeks ago and Kaminski visited the school before committing last week.
Before that, Kaminski only had lukewarm interest from colleges despite throwing for 1,430 yards, rushing for 895 and accounting for 26 touchdowns his senior season. He continued to shine in showcase games, earning MVP honors at the Pinellas County senior all-star game.
"It was exciting to sign knowing I'll get to play college football, and I'll get my education," Kaminski said. "I'm a little nervous because I'll be far away from my family, but I'll get used to it."
