Times’ super 7
Records through Wednesday.
1. Clearwater Central Catholic (5-0): The Marauders have not given up a run in four of five games, with a big district game tonight against Calvary Christian.
2. Osceola (4-1): Warriors can pitch, hit and play defense. They’ll be tough to beat.
3. East Lake (4-1): The Eagles slipped up against Northeast, but it will likely act as a wake-up call for a team too talented to lose many more.
4. Countryside (5-0): The Cougars have already won big this season, and Tuesday against Pinellas Park they proved they can win close games.
5. Calvary Christian (6-0): The Warriors are hitting .395 as a team and have a team ERA of 0.81.
6. Northeast (2-2): The Vikings are going to be a tough out all season, especially after beating East Lake on Tuesday. They can pitch, and any team that can pitch can win.
7. St. Petersburg (4-3): After an 0-3 trip to Tallahassee, the Green Devils have rattled off three straight wins. They have a tough district game at Manatee tonight.
On the bubble: Indian Rocks Christian, Pinellas Park
