Times' Super 7
1. Palm Harbor University (8-1): The Hurricanes are averaging 11 runs a game and are undefeated against Pinellas County teams. Their lone loss came last week against Sarasota Riverview.
2. Canterbury (5-1): Despite a one-run loss to Riverview, the Crusaders still remain the top ranked in the Class 2A state poll. Home games against Kissimmee Osceola on Friday and Harmony on Saturday will provide big tests.
3. East Lake (6-3): After losing two straight last week, the Eagles have bounced with three straight wins, including a 6-4 victory over Class 7A, District 9 foe Countryside.
4. Countryside (5-3): Defense played a pivotal role in a 1-0, eight-inning win over Northeast that avenged an extra-inning loss to the Vikings two weeks ago.
5. Seminole (7-4): The Warhawks have lost two of their last three games, including a 15-7 slugfest to Palm Harbor University on Tuesday.
6. Northeast (5-3): After starting 5-0 and moving to the top of Class 7A, District 9, the Vikings have dropped three straight district games.
7. Dunedin (6-3): On Tuesday, the Falcons won their third straight, handing Gulf its first loss of the season.
Knocking on the door: Admiral Farragut (6-0), St. Petersburg Catholic (6-1)
