2. Hernando (8-1, 6-0): Wins against Nature Coast and Central keep the Leopards at the top of 5A-7.
3. River Ridge (5-2, 5-1): An Anclote team that keeps pulling out surprises overcame the Royal Knights, but they remain at the top of Class 5A, District 8.
4. Bishop McLaughlin (7-3, 3-2): Pitcher Jack Tyler has thrown a 0.80 ERA and pulled out three wins for the Hurricanes.
5. Land O’Lakes (6-2, 5-2): The Gators, which lost last week to a Sunlake team that’s had a season of ups and downs, average nearly 10 runs per game.
6. Pasco (4-1, 4-1): Wins against Wesley Chapel and Central have vaulted the Pirates to the runnerup spot in 5A-7.
7. Fivay (5-3, 5-2): The Falcons held on against Sunlake to keep their place in the top seven. Upcoming matchups against Land O’Lakes and Hernando will give them opportunities to climb higher.
