Boys player of the year: Remi Pimm, So., Sunlake
Why we picked him:
This year’s Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Soccer was an obvious standout athlete, and not only among North Suncoast players. The sophomore’s 64 goals set a Pasco County record and led the state in scoring. He had another 39 assists to rack up 167 points. He was chosen as the Class 3A Player of the Year after Sunlake went 29-2-1. He averaged two goals per game, more than double of any other player on his team, to propel the Seahawks to the state semifinals.
Most impressive accomplishment: Pimm broke the county record in scoring — previously 63 goals — in the region semifinal against Citrus. The sophomore connected on four of the Seahawks’ seven goals to take the win and earn his place in Pasco County history. “Personally, I want my name to be remembered,” Pimm said after the victory.
Did you know? Though he’s not able to pick a favorite, Pimm is secretly a cinephile. He loves watching movies in his spare time, and comedies are his favorite. Will Ferrell is his favorite comedic actor, and Anchorman takes the top trophy among Ferrell’s movies.
Future plans: Pimm dreams of playing professional soccer, though it will be a few years before he has to make any major decisions about his future. “It just depends on the opportunity that presents itself,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that need to happen before I even make it.” He’ll need to decide whether to stay in the United States or go elsewhere, and his dream team is Real Madrid.

Coach of the year
Sam Koleduk, Sunlake.
The Seahawks coach earns the title a second straight year - and with good reason. Koleduk took Sunlake to its fourth playoff run in as many years, and the Seahawks made the state semis once again. Koleduk coached a team that combined a dangerous attack with some of the best defenders on the North Suncoast, but he’ll have to replace several key players to stay at the top.

First team
F Mico Petrovich, Sr., Mitchell:
The Sunshine Athletic Conference offensive player of the year kept opponents nervous, raking in 32 goals and 20 assists in a breakout season.
F Connor Spencer, Jr., Sunlake: The junior was one of the Seahawks’ most flexible players, adding a whopping 42 assists as well as 26 goals.
F Cobi Shermo, Jr., Sunlake: Shermo was another vital piece of the North Suncoast’s top team, earning 24 goals and 16 assists.
F Andy Hippley, Jr., Wiregrass Ranch: Hippley pulled out key shots when Wiregrass needed them, helping the Bulls to a 21-2-2 season.
MF Chet Kirtley, Sr., Mitchell: The senior kept opposing defenses on their toes. He scored three of the Mustangs’ five goals against Sunlake.
MF Bryce Wilson, Sr., Wiregrass Ranch: This is Wilson’s second year on first team; he had 28 goals and 32 assists for the Bulls.
MF Justin DaSilva, Jr., River Ridge: The junior helped spark the Royal Knights’ 15-5-2 season, which was punctuated by 13 shutouts.
MF Chris Wilkinson, Jr., Sunlake: Wilkinson was yet another scoring threat for the Seahawks, adding 17 goals and 21 assists.
D Aaron Aucoin, Sr., Sunlake: The senior was a leader on a defense that forced 20 shutouts, and he tallied 13 goals.
D Nathan Hayes, Sr., Mitchell: Hayes was part of a defense that notched 12 shutouts and held opponents to four or fewer goals.
D Austin Goble, Sr., Sunlake: The SAC defensive player of the year added eight goals in addition to his role on Sunlake’s impenetrable defense.
GK Mitchell Szydlowski, Sr., Mitchell: Szydlowski’s 56 saves helped him stand out in a season marked by stellar goaltending along the North Suncoast.
