Countryside won the boy’s PCAC tennis championship on Tuesday with a 5-2 win over St. Petersburg. The Cougars took the top three singles matches and both doubles matches to secure the win.
In No. 1 singles, Countryside’s Jordan Monosky defeated Carl Calluer 8-1. Aaron Carey of Countryside defeated John Johnson 8-0 in No. 2 singles and Martin Lukosiunas of Countryside beat Devan Upadhyay 8-1. In No. 4 singles, St. Petersburg’s Dan Segundo defeated Chandler Walker 8-1 and St. Petersburg’s Vikas Molleti beat Nick Oppenheimer 8-5 in No. 5 singles.
In the doubles matches, Monosky and Lukosiunas beat Calluer and Upadhyay 8-1 and Carey and Walker beat Johnson and Segundo 8-2.
Countryside ended its regular season 13-0.
Pinellas Park and East Lake play today for the girls PCAC championship.
