Pinellas: Baseball super 7, stats

Baseball super 7
Records through Wednesday.
1. Clearwater Central Catholic (17-0): Marauders off to their best start in school history. It’s a shame the Dunedin Spring tournament final against Osceola was rained out and a double shame the teams couldn’t find a mutual date to make up the game.
2. Osceola (14-3): Warriors are coming off an impressive performance at the Dunedin tournament and a nice win over Mitchell on Wednesday night.
3. Northeast (15-4): The Vikings went 4-0 during a spring break road trip to South Carolina. A big district game at Seminole awaits tonight.
4. Calvary Christian (13-4): Warriors beat Countryside in extra innings at the Dunedin tournament, then avenged a loss to St. Petersburg Catholic. Three straight district games against IRC, Shorecrest and CCC await.
5. St. Petersburg (13-6): Green Devils lost to host Seminole in the Georgiadis tournament final, but bounced back with wins over Springstead and Manatee. They are tied with Manatee for the 8A-8 lead.
6. Pinellas Park (12-8): Patriots are wildly inconsistent, but if they can play like they did in a 4-0 win over East Lake this week, they could be dangerous come tournament time.
7. East Lake (12-6): District games against Countryside and Dunedin will tell a lot about the Eagles, who struggle to score runs.
On the bubble: Dunedin (10-7), Countryside (10-6), Seminole (10-9).
