Tampa Prep’s Juwan Durham and Berkeley Prep’s Justin Gray have both been named first-team all-state selections by the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches and Source Hoops.
Durham, the Tampa Bay Times’ all-Suncoast player of the year, was the only sophomore on the 3A first team. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 21.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 5.7 blocks to help the Terrapins reach the Class 3A state championship game. He was the only local among the top 15 players in his class.
Gray was a first-team pick in 4A. The 6-foot-4, Texas Tech-bound guard averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the state semifinalists.
Tampa Catholic senior Chivarsky Corbett was a second-team selection in 4A. The 6-foot-7 Delaware signee averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.
