Lakeside Christian's Christian Michener will play baseball at Des Moines Area Community College next season. Michener is coming off a junior season in which he hit .524 with three HRs and 34 RBIs. So far this season he is hitting .439 with 19 RBI.
As a pitcher, Michener has a 1.91 ERA in 29 innings pitched. He has 52 strikeouts, including 18 in one game.
Des Moines Area Community College has been one of the top junior college programs in the country lately. The school has appeared in the NJCAA World Series four of the last five years.
