Tampa Prep star Juwan Durham has been named a first-team sophomore All-American by MaxPreps, the site announced Friday morning.
It's the latest honor for Durham, a 6-foot-10 forward. He was the Tampa Bay Times' all-Suncoast player of the year this winter, averaging 21.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 5.7 blocks and recording four triple-doubles. He led the Terrapins to the Class 3A state championship game.
He's one of the country's top basketball recruits for the class of 2016 and holds offers from the major state schools plus Louisville and Indiana, among others. Durham will work out this summer in Colorado to try to earn a spot on the USA Basketball U17 team.
