East Lake pitcher/first baseball Cameron Churchill has signed a letter of intent to attend Nova Southeastern in the fall. Churchill is a four-year player who has been consistent at the plate and on the mound this season.
He is hitting .327 and is 5-2 with a 1.2 ERA in 35 innings pitched. Nova Southeastern is a Division II school in Fort Lauderdale that plays in the Sunshine State Conference.
"Cameron has been a solid player for four years,'' East Lake coach Dan Genna said. "He works extremely hard and is a pleasure to coach.''
Churchill is the fourth East Lake player to sign this season, along with Keegan Maronpot (Wake Forest), Brad Deppermann (North Florida) and Steven Plaskett (Air Force).
