The 2015 Under Armour All-American Game is more than eight months away, but the high school all-star game has already invited one local athlete for the 2016 competition.
Tampa Catholic WR Nate Craig has been invited to play in the 2016 game, Craig announced Tuesday via Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound transfer from Pasco is already a four-star recruit and 247Sports’ No. 92 overall prospect in his class. He holds more than two dozen offers, from Florida State, Florida, Auburn and Ohio State, among others.
Craig caught five touchdown passes in nine games for the Pirates last fall. His older brother, Josh Johnson, starred at Pasco and Purdue before getting an NFL tryout with the San Diego Chargers.
The Under Armour game has been played at Tropicana Field each of the last five years. Armwood DE Byron Cowart and East Lake ATH George Campbell have both pledged to play at this year’s nationally televised game.
