Steinbrenner outside hitter Madison Seuzeneau, one of the players who laid the foundation for the Warriors’ fledgling program, has orally committed to the NAIA’s Spring Hill College in Alabama. Steinbrenner coach Laura Stegenga confirmed Seuzeneau’s commitment via e-mail.
A four-year varsity member, Seuzeneau led Steinbrenner to its best postseason performance in school history. The Warriors, who won their fourth straight district title this past season, advanced to the Class 7A region finals, losing to eventual state champion Venice.
This season, Seuzeneau averaged a team-high 3.2 kills per game, was second in aces (38) and third in digs per game (2.0).
She will move on to Spring Hill, a Catholic college of about 1,500 students in Mobile. Spring Hill has gone undefeated in the Southern States Athletic Conference in the past two seasons, compiling an overall record of 70-10.
