Central ATH Quadavis Battle has picked up his first college offer.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior earned an offer from Southeast Missouri State, Bears coach Mike Einspahr said Wednesday afternoon. Battle is also receiving interest from a handful of junior colleges.
Battle is one of Hernando County’s top pure athletes. He averaged almost 6 yards per carry as a senior and rushed for two scores. On defense, he racked up 30 tackles, two forced fumbles and one blocked punt.
As a junior last track season, he placed fifth at districts in the 110 hurdles and was fourth in the 300 hurdles.
Southeast Missouri is a Football Championship Series (formerly Division I-AA) school in Cape Giradeau that plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Redhawks finished 3-8 last season.
