SEMINOLE — St. Petersburg spoiled Seminole's senior night, winning 27-6 Friday.
The Green Devils' potent running kept Seminole (1-6, 0-3) at bay. Deangelo Reaves dominated the first quarter by rushing for 119 yards along with a 69-yard touchdown. Josh Hall later intercepted a Noah Weller pass, and on the ensuing play Reaves broke free for a 13-yard touchdown. St. Petersburg put another impressive drive together as Anthony Woods gathered in a pass for 24 yards. Several plays later, Reaves trotted in for his third score of the quarter to put the Green Devils (3-4, 1-2) up 20-0.
The Warhawks' Ra'Quanne Dickens rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown.
"The last two weeks of practice were very good. We played well in all phases of the game and the kids did a good job tonight," St. Pete coach Joe Fabrizio said.
