St. Petersburg Catholic 2, Tampa Catholic 1:
The Barons got a first-half goal from Emilo Ycaza and a second-half goal from Manny Carmona to advance to the district final and region quarterfinal. SPC (4-7-6) gave up a goal early in the second half, but Carmona scored seven minutes later.

“We played very hard throughout the game,” Barons coach Will Summer said. “With about 20 minutes left we were able to drop back on defense and they just ran out of gas.”

Berkeley Prep 4, Clearwater Central Catholic 0: Four Berkeley Prep players scored to end the Marauders’ season.

Osceola 2, Lakewood 1:
The Warriors advanced to the district final and will play at 7 Friday night at Palmetto. Osceola (14-5-5) got a second-half goal from Taylor Abulone and hung on.

Palmetto 5, Dunedin 0: Dunedin’s attempt to reach a second straight regional came to a halt against Palmetto (21-1-3).

Green milestone

St. Petersburg Catholic guard Ryan Green reached the 1,000-point plateau for his career in a loss to Tampa Catholic.

Olivia Red, Seminole:
The freshman scored twice in a win over East Bay in a Class 5A region quarterfinal and has a county-leading 31 goals this season.

Brooke Coughlin, St. Petersburg Catholic: The sophomore had three of her team’s five goals in a region quarterfinal win. She has 18 goals this season.

Rebecca Dirks, Osceola: The sophomore had two goals to lead her team in a Class 3A region quarterfinal.
