At East Lake
Score: East Lake 39, Osceola 29
Spring game-breakers: East Lake receiver Artavis Scott is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. The rising senior, considered one of the top recruits in the nation, almost accomplished that feat. In the first half he returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and a punt 55 yards for a score. He also caught a 66-yard pass from Jake Hudson for a touchdown and hauled in an 89-yard pass from Brandon Swift for a score on the final play of the first half. His four touchdowns helped the Eagles erase a 13-0 first-quarter deficit. Hudson, Swift and Jordan Leston played in the first three quarters. Weston Fordham led East Lake’s ground game with 67 yards rushing. Daniel LaCamera hit a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter to round out the scoring for the Eagles. … Osceola jumped out to an early lead. Ryan Allan, who started at quarterback, ran 10 yards for a touchdown and Wilan Harvey returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown. Quadarius Patterson was used in a variety of ways for the Warriors and rushed for 102 yards. Osceola went for it on fourth down five times.

Audible 1:“That was probably the best half I’ve ever played. It didn’t know I’d have that kind of game. I just didn’t want our team to lose. We were behind, and we worked too hard to come out and lose this game. I knew I had to step up and make plays.” — Scott
Audible 2:“I thought all the quarterbacks played well. They’re all starting to figure things out. They just need reps.” — East Lake coach Bob Hudson
