Tampa Catholic's Corey Martinez (pictured) and Plant City's Montel McBride, both Division I-bound linemen, have joined the list of invitees to the 2014 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson, Calif.
They join St. Petersburg Catholic OL and University of Miami commitment Reilly Gibbons on the invitation list. The third annual contest, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps, will be played Jan. 5 and televised by Fox Sports 1.
Martinez (6-foot-4, 290 pounds), an offensive guard who recently committed to FSU, will participate in the game, Crusaders coach Mike Gregory said. McBride (6-4, 330), a guard who has committed to Alabama, said Monday he hasn't decided whether he'll participate.
The game features roughly 100 of the nation's top players, who are divided into East and West teams. According to the game's website, the Marine Corps partners with "a third-party recruiting professional" to select players based on their character, academic performance and leadership.
